How to Dress for Polo
CLUBHOUSE
From sundresses and stilettos to classic polo shirts and khakis, the dress code at Saratoga Polo’s clubhouse is casually chic and coolly confident.
Ladies
The Clubhouse is a ‘who’s who of Saratoga’ and a ‘who’s wearing who’ of fashion. Ladies apparel represents a veritable fashion show of cocktail dresses, summery skirts, billowy hats to shade the late afternoon sun, and colorful espadrilles – a practical choice for the traditional halftime divot stomping.
Gentlemen
Gentlemen also take care in what they wear to the Polo Clubhouse, donning business casual attire with a sportier edge. Khaki pants or shorts are a favorite choice, paired with a button down or, of course, a polo shirt. Although not required, some gentlemen may even prefer to dress just as fancy as their ladies, wearing a suit and tie.
GENERAL ADMISSION
Fashion-wise, anything goes on the general admission lawn, offering a more relaxing environment to watch polo. With picnicking a popular activity, and polo fans spending time with family, friends and even their polo pooches, ladies and gentlemen appropriately dress the part. Feet are treated to flip-flops and looks are comfortably casual for a low-key afternoon.
